My friend is complaining because he has to buy SR 22 AutoInsurance.  What is it and why does he have to buy it?

Hi Darrren,
It is not SR 22 Auto Insurance.  The SR 22 form has to be submitted to the Motor Vehicles Department to show proof that the holder actually has Arizona Auto Insurance to cover liability in case of an accident.

In many cases the person having to have their insurance verified by the SR 22 form has been convicted of driving under the influence or was found at fault in an accident for which they did not have the ability to pay for their liability.

Your friend is only telling you part of the story
